Fireworks tonight at the white water center and hitting the lake tomorrow then probably coming back towards our house for more fireworks. The amusement park close to us does them every year but i hate fighting traffic so we usually go to Sonic right down the road to get ice cream and watch from there. you can see them perfectly!

We were going to go to the neighborhood lake and watch the firework display, but the city banned fireworks because it’s so dry here. Cry  As much as I love the fireworks at the Arch, I don’t want to sit there with thousands of other people when it’s hotter than hell.

Brother is back from the Marines(serving in Hawaii) so we are going to have a celebratory lunch, some bocce ball, and then watch the fireworks and get ready for rehearsal the next day!

Being lazy all day tomorrow is my goal. The city shoots off fireworks about half a mile from our house, so tomorrow night we just have to climb up on the roof and watch ’em, which is awesome. No having to drive anywhere early to get a good parking spot and wait forever.

We don’t know our plans yet! Fiance proposed to me on the 4th last year so it’s our “engagement-versary” and we wanted to make it somewhat special. I think we might just hang out at home and relax and then go to the beach and watch the fireworks, the same thing we did one year ago when he popped the question!

We’re going to Red White and Boom tonight in downtown Columbus.  We have a family friend that owns a coach company that busses us all down there and we all cook out and drink and observe the characters that the show brings out.

Tomorrow we don’t really have plans, but I’m sure I will be eating horrible food that I shouldn’t be.

Parade with breakfast in the morning and then BBQ with neighbors. Same every year but it’s so much fun.

Nada. Zippo. Zilch.

It’s one of my favorite holidays — I’m not actuall patriotic, I just love the fireworks, music, food, and atmosphere — and this year I’ll be spending it alone, at home, doing nothing. 🙁

I used to go to Boston’s Pops Goes the Fourth EVERY year, and it was the best. I’ll be watching it on TV this year, I guess.
