Obviously this only applies if you actually have a home phone.. 😛 The title basically sums it up… I live in CT and use Straight talk home phone. It’s $15 a month and doesn’t require internet or an installed phone cable line. It’s honestly been really great, but if I’m missing something better I’d like to know. My parents always had cable, and at our previous home, Darling Husband and I had cable as well.

People still have home phones?!

We use Ooma. we bought the device at Costco and after that the only fee is a nominal amount of taxes each month. As long as you have a good internet connection it works extremely well. We hadn’t had a landline in years, but had to get this because our cell service is hit or miss in our place.

I don’t know anyone near my age who has a home phone! Anytime someone is calling a home phone (for my parents or in laws, for instance) is a telemarketer

We have Verizon for home and cell. The home phone is 19.99/mo. We are in Wisconsin.

I have a home phone bc I have the three for all from Fios. I know quite a few people my age range (late 20s/early 30s) who have a home phone because of the three for all plans with cable providers….
so I guess my provider is Verizon and I’m in NJ.

eveline: LOL. I love how you said it only applied if people have home phones but most replies are from people who DONT have them.

Haha I have a home phone so I don’t have anyone other than family/friends bugging me on my cell phone. Also, it’s a place for people to call both my husband and me to tell us something. Almost everyone I know has a home phone still oops. 😛 Also, our cell signal sucks at home, so we kind of have to have a phone where people can reach us. I haven’t tried the straight talk international yet, but it’s apparently only $30 for unlimited international calls. I call internationally a lot due to the fact I have lots of family in Ireland.
