I have purchased a dress from once wed.com now I think it’s called Tradesy.com and I have sold a dress on pre-owned wedding dresses .   Both transactions went off  without a hitch. The wedding dress I purchase was the one I wore in my wedding and everyone loved it. There definitely was no way I could have afforded the dress if I purchased it any other way

I bought mine at a store that sells only designer sample/ once-wed dresses… mine is a once-wed dress and it is perfect! I paid less than $500 for it, and the woman that runs the shop has a tailor that she works with often, so alterations were easy. (Any other MA brides on here, I highly recommend Clever Bride in Holliston)

The dress I bought was pre-owned! From the beginning I knew which dress I wanted, and it being double what I was willing to spend, knew that pre-owned would be my best bet. I was lucky enough to find one in my size at a bridal consignment shop about 45 mins from where I live. Mind you I spent quite a bit of time looking everywhere online for that dress, but it paid off! I probably would’ve been a bit apprehensive if I hadn’t gotten to try the dress on first before making such a big purchase, but my experience was fantastic. I can honestly say my dress is in immaculate condition, and you wouldn’t even know it was second hand. I definitely recommend consignment for those who are price and eco conscious.

I ended up with major dress regret the month before my wedding. I found a dress on preownedweddingdress.com. The seller was super responsive and my dress arrived very quickly. The only small issue I had is that after agreeing to sell to me for $500, she added later that it would be an additional $25 for shipping, which isn’t a huge deal, but I would’ve appreciated knowing that upfront.

Borrowing magnolia is a reputable site that one of my BMs is using for her wedding. She bought hers there, but they also let you rent.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

I found my dress in an antique shop for $150.  Wasn’t even there to look at dresses!  You may not like vintage, but if you do, consider getting “vintage” instead of “vintage themed”!  Call around to your local hole-in-the-wall antique shops.  If they’re anything like the ones in my area, they will be so startled to actually sell one of their old wedding dresses that they’ll knock the price down for you.

I bought my dress off of preownedweddingdresses.com and I love it! It was only $199, the seller was a wedding dress consignment boutique and super responsive. I honestly don’t like clothing shopping, so I was dreading dress shopping. When I found my dress, I hadn’t tried on any others yet, so I was hesitant to buy it, but I decided to just do it and I’m glad I did. It was in my size, but I’ll still get some alterations done just to make it fit just right.
