@lilsweetie:  Yep, agree.

Seems like if you’re willing to give 3, why not more? Or 3 per year as suggested.

@TheFutureMrsNguyen:  and @MrsSawyer:  Thanks for the support ladies!

I think it is good to have a limit of some sort to prevent people from recklessly posting and deleting on a whim, so I have no problems with the 3/year limit. I just hate the idea of “once they’re gone they’re gone for good”.

Very interesting addition!  I wholeheartedly approve of the reasoning behind limiting the deletions to 3.  Thanks Bee team!

i so appreciate that we can do this 3 times. i agree that we should be responsible for what we post. and with that, i’ve got one to get rid of.  😉

Oh thank you – in my nearly 2 years on here I only regretted one particular post (and it wasn’t that bad) so I’m glad it’s gone – I’m not gonna be paranoid if someone IRL finds me now hehe

Maybe it’s because the feature is new, but I’m already seeing it be abused. 3 times today I’ve started reading a thread, refreshed the page to see if anyone else responded, and the thread had been deleted. It’ll be disappointing if this is how it ends up getting used, when I generally think it’s a good thing to have.

I’ve seen a thread where the OP disappeared, but the thread is still there.  Is this due to the poster deleting their own thread?  I don’t like it, as it takes the context out of all the other posts and it’s confusing because the next response post looks like the OP.

Can we make it so only posters with a certain number of posts can delete their posts, in order to prevent a “run and gun” situation where someone signs up, posts a few threads, delete them, rinse and repeat? Even better would be getting to delete 1 post for every x number of posts you write.

also, when someone replies in these deleted posts, do their post counts get reverted back if a thread is deleted?

Thanks for the new feature, WB! @lilsweetie:  I like that idea.

@AB Bride:  That’s probably from the 1hr policy that’s been around a while. You can totally delete or rewrite the OP for up to an hour. Thankfully, most people don’t, because it creates the situation you described. I think the new deletion of 3 threads policy wipes the whole thing but doesn’t lower the post counts of those that had responded, @SoupyCat:.

@indibee:  You can edit, but I didn’t know you can entirely delete a post so that all the other posts are renumbered.  How do you delete?
