I’m looking for some advice on locations in Philly that are easy to get to if we’re traveling by trolley we’ve rented. I’m interested in going to places like the Reading Terminal Market, Headhouse, Rittenhouse, etc… for our wedding portraits.
Also, do you usually have your bridal party with you when you’re going to multiple locations for photos?
The backstory/explanation for the questions:
The finace and I were excited to get a trolley for our wedding since we have a relatively large wedding party (14 ppl total). I really wanted to drive around Philly for a mix of portraits and group photos, but our photographer strongly urges us to go from ceremony to our venue for group shots and for just the portrait shots of us have it just be the photographer, his second shooter, and us to go into the city for those photos.
Even though it’s a little disappointing to not have everyone, I can understand his concern. However, we have paid the trolley in full already so I’d rather not have all that time we rented it for go to waste. So I’m wondering if it’s possible to go into the city with the trolley and just the four of us in it. Seems like it would be, but I don’t drive a trolley on a regular basis so I don’t know how easy or difficult it is to navigate Philly. I don’t want using a trolley to hold us back from the number of locations we can go to.
Not that I don’t trust my photographer (b/c I do with all my heart), but has anyone had any experience carting around their bridal party AND doing their portraits in the same vehicle? I’m just curious what peoples experiences are. Any advice on this and/or the questions above would be greatly appreciated!!
