Hi bees, I searched for this topic and found some results, but they were fairly old. Have you used cheapcarribean.com to book a trip and if so, how was the experience? I am trying to decide between them and booking directly through the resort. We have decided on the Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, now just have to figure who to brook through.

My girlfriend got married at Majestic Elegance last year and the entire wedding party booked their trip thru CheapCaribbean.com.
Some of us booked on line, and the parents and my mom used the 800# to get to their call center.
CheapCaribbean had the lowest prices for sure. The site was easy to use. My mom liked talking to the people on the phone. Very friendly and the call center was in the U.S. and was not India, so they were able to answer all of her questions.
The resort was beautiful, very upscale. Great service there, wonderful food, the pool and beach was great.

I booked a trip to an all-inclusive in Mexico. The hotel was stayed in was great and had a wonderful time, other than the 3 day rainstorm we had in the middle of our trip. Cheap Caribbean even gave us a voucher for a few hundred dollars to use on another trip because of the bad weather.

Thanks ladies! They are a little cheaper than the resort, but also include shuttle transport while the resort does not.

@The_Future_KB: i booked my honeymoon through them, and so far no problems!

You should book on the Triumph with Carnival Cruises. I bet they have GREAT discounts…

No because I didn’t find it to be quite “cheap.” We booked through Sandals.

We booked a trip to Mexico with them 2 years ago. It was way cheaper than anywhere else we found. We did it on a whim as a last minute thing so we booked about 1 week before we went. But yeah, great site. would definitely book through them again.

@The_Future_KB: I looked at prices on cheapcaribbean and took them to a travel agent and they gladly matched the price. I wanted the peace of mind of booking through an agent.

As with the PP, I recommend printing the price and going with an agent. We booked our honeymoon that way, and in order to get our business, the agent gave us a free upgrade.
I’ve always had success going this route with either discounts or other perks.

- Wedding: June 2013 - Upstate NY
I know a few couples who always book with them with good results. The only thing is they usualy get really crappy flights (2 stops, weird times, etc)

@lealorali: We are booking our flights seperately to use frequent flyer miles, so maybe that will help.
I’d feel more confidant with a travel agent, but the one I’ve been speaking with doesn’t match prices and her cost is about $250 more!
I think y’all have given me enough good reveiws to go for it with cheap Caribbean! Thanks!!

I just used them last week to book. We’re going to the same resort. No problems so far. I rep also called to see if I had any questions.
