” Maybe not wear the engagement ring to the wedding and then have him put it on during the ceremony? “

That seems like the simplest way to do it – that’s what I’d do.

Yeah a lot of brides don’t wear their engagement ring during the ceremony or wear it on their right hand anyways, because your wedding ring is supposed to be worn closest to your heart.  If you’re wearing an engagement ring before he puts in on your hand they will be the wrong way around.  (I personally ignored that because I was like I love my engagement ring and I’m wearing it!!  I just switched them after.)

Hopefully that made sense.  My point is that it’s totally normal to have a naked finger and then have one ring slipped on during the ceremony.

For my first wedding, that’s exactly how I did it. Just had a bit of a tan line, but whatever. Just take it off a couple of days before so your finger isn’t too indented.

2nd wedding, planning on doing the same thing.

I love unique rings and that one has so much personality. I  too am only having one ring and calling it my wedding ring. No e-ring, no wedding band, just my gorgeous wedding ring.

Just take it off before the ceremony and have him put it on when it is time to put the ring on your finger. No worries! Its been done before 🙂
