@badabing88:  I am probably guilty of oversharing things on Facebook. I update my status everytime I get notification that an order has been shipped (i.e. my garters, table gems, etc), i find a great little addition to the bridesmaids gifts, I’m excited about a vendor, etc. I do have a lot of facebook friends who actually do care about that stuff and are happy to see my progress.  I also have several friends who are also in the wedding planning process and it makes it pretty easy to share info on envelope printing, discounts, etc.

That being said, I would never facebook my STD (wedding related or otherwise, HAHA!). Not all of my facebook “friends” are invited to the wedding, and I would feel like a total ass if someone not on the guest list commented or “liked” that status, thus making me feel required to invite them.

I sent an email, not even an evite. I guess I suck at life. I probably would have posted it on fbook if i had been inviting everyone from my friend list ha

@badabing88:  As much as I would have loved to use the $300 I spent on Save the Dates and invitiations (combined. I’m budget savvy!) for something else, I could never bring myself to do that. A wedding, regardless of the location, should necessitate a bit more effort than a facebook status.

Are you supposed to indictate your meal choice in a wall post?

I have friends that did that.  I don’t mind.  It’s just a STD, not an actual invite.

@badabing88:  My Future Mother-In-Law got married in my backyard with less than 20 and we grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. She still mailed an invitation to everyone.

Any idea on what they plan to do if A) people whom they don’t really want there turn up B) people that they really do want there don’t turn up because they didn’t see the status?

Just seems like a totally unreliable method to me XD
