(Closed) Using floral clay to "mush" around bouquet stems?

    My understanding is that you are supposed to mummify the bundle of stems in floral tape and then wrap the ribbon on that, and the tape is meant to help even things out.


    Barring that, hell yeah you can mush clay wherever you like. Joy of going the fake route. You can look into an air dry clay as well, if floral clay is on the pricey side. I’m not too familiar with it.

    There are a few options.  You can use floral tape, as PP mentioned- just be careful to make THAT even, otherwise the ribbon still won’t be even.  Or, you can hot glue green felt around “stems” and wrap ribbon around that.  You should be able to get a nice and even roundness with the felt.
