Oh my god! What a nightmare!! This is just an absolute disaster. I’m sorry you have to go through this, I’d be freaking out!!

Wow, that’s terrible.  Did you talk to the Postmaster at the location?  He’s the one who is entirely in charge of that branch.  Unfortuantely, the post office doesn’t often waive postage.  Do you have extra envelopes that you can use to send out new ones?  Sorry this happened to you!

@daralyn4:  Quick questions– did you assemble all of the envelopes the same way? I made half with double sided tape and half with a glue stick. They were different weights. Also, did you weigh more than one? 

I am sorry you are going through this– it sucks!

Oh my god – I can’t believe this! I would be outraged too.. Maybe you can go to a different post office and see if they can do anything for you? Wow, I just can’t believe this.

I am so sorry. I would be incredibly upset if I were you, I would call the guy’s boss for SURE. This is totally crazy and unnacceptable. And it sounds like there’s really nothing that can be done, that’s what’s so frusterating. I think they should pay for you to have new invitations and send them for free…that’s what I would demand.

@daralyn4:  That is so annoying. I would be livid and would be on the phone with the postmaster asking for an explaination of the customer service.

For other bees reading this, this is why we did a “test run”. We got 2 weighed and wiggled at the desk and sent to two different states. They both showed up and we were happy.

Call up the postmaster for your region/area and tell him/her what happened. My local office is a NIGHTMARE. I’ve complained about them to the postmaster as has others in my family about various things (including their inability to take a $20 bill to pay for stamps for WHATEVER STUPID REASON) I stopped going there bc they are so stupid.
