@noritake22: stock up on Forever stamps…they survive any postage rate increases.

Thanks for the heads-up, noritake22! Those 2 cents add up quickly when you have so many things to send.

1) the post office sucks. seriously. i dont know what they pay their office workers but from the service I’ve received every single time i need to go into the post office? It is WAY TOO MUCH. argh.

2) thank you! My wedding is at the end of february so I was going to send my invites out right around the first week of January!! Now I have a deadline to hit… pre-Jan 2! I dont think there is anything to be done about RSVPs though… I really can’t make people rsvp 8 weeks prior ๐Ÿ™‚

@noritake22: seriously. they think (erroneously, obviously) that they can be as shitty as they want and people will still NEED them. Well there are a few areas that we still need them in but they are quickly being phased OUT. (thank god haha). My RSVPs are post-cards to save money and I don’t know of any forever post-card stamps ๐Ÿ™

Thanks for letting me know.  I heard this mentioned on the news but didn’t know when.  I was really freaked out that I’d have to unwrap all my invitations (they are already sealed!) and re-do all the RSVP stamps.  Thankfully that won’t be an issue.

Just make sure that you weigh at the Post Office an entire put together invite envelope!  Even with the increase, many invites need more than the 40 cent-ish stamp.  Fiance almost didn’t weigh, I reminded him at the last moment, and it was a good thing he did… we needed 61 cent stamps!!
