All inclusive? Not sure of that. But I think maybe the Marriott? I’m getting married at The Ritz Carlton in St Thomas and with 14 guests it is costing us a pretty penny but if I would have shopped around, I would have likely picked the Marriott. They have pretty good prices on their website.

I’m getting married in Mexico in October 2012. Right now I’m at 9k with about 15-20 guests. I still haven’t added in the DJ or Upgraded reception decorations (not sure IF I am going to upgrade or not).  Octobers prices are a little lower that’s why I picked that month. Watch out for airfair, that’s killing me right now. I am staying at Secrets Maroma Beach Resort.

This is ballpark of what I have so far:

3K-7nights 6days all inclusive resort, airfair included.

3K- wedding package at resort. Includes sit down dinner, cocktail hour, live music trio for 45 min, basic decorations, basic flowers, basic cake, video of ceremony, sound system at the ceremony, champagne toast, hair and make up.

2,400-photography package and trash the dress photo shoot.

500-I bought 2 dresses, knockoffs from the Internet, save the dates, invitations (used groupon deal at vistaprint)

DJ and upgraded decorations will be around 1k more.

Honestly, I didn’t expect to spend this much, but things just start to add up.

@BeeG35:  The resort we picked is what is costing us. For 14 guests, we are spending a total of 16k not including flights, rings, dress, etc. We fell in love with a package they offered and jumped to signing a contract because we knew our date would be popular and didn’t want to lose our date. We should’ve shopped around first though. Oh well……….our wedding is next Friday! Too late now! Lol

I’m getting married in st Thomas this October at sugar bay resort which is all inclusive. Planning had been a pain bc most people working in the islands are on “island time” meaning they work at their own pace so just be prepared lol

We are having prob around 14-22 we don’t have the final count yet but they have 3 different wedding packages there…. Which includes photography and video…. Most resorts offer these packages which are pretty reasonable but the rooms are what’s pricey thou!  A 10,000 budget is totally do-able thou!

To cut costs I am making my arrangements and packing an extra large suitcase with all my decor which is saving a lot!!

Look into Little Dix Bay, Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands.

I remember looking it up once, I think I remember it being reasonably priced and maybe also all inclusive AND definitely breath takingly beautiful.

Worth looking into…if you are looking for options.

Good Luck with whatever you decide I hope it all works out.

@BeeG35:  No they usually don’t include a reception package…I wish!

Even thou ours is all inclusive to have a private reception it’s and extra fee since it includes setup and other things it costs extra….in our case….about 20 people prob around 2,000 for reception dinner and 1 hour of hourderves
