Lovely bees…what do you plan on getting your sweetie for Valentine’s Day? At this point I don’t really have anything in mind so I’m just trying to get some ideas. I think I may just have a nice romantic candlelit dinner at home and then dessert upstairs :))) You know what they say…”The way to keep a man happy is keep his stomach full and his testicles emply”…LOL
ETA: Posted on the wrong board! sorry.

We have reservations at a nice resteraunt for Saturday, but if the weather holds on the 14th, we will likely go dancing. There is a little back roads place that we like to go to that is 2 miles down a gravel road and 7 miles from the nearest town. It’s a blast!

Nothing. He will be away at basic training! 🙁

We don’t really do much for Valentines Day. Last year I think we got each other joke gifts and he maybe brought me flowers. I think dinner and “dessert” LOL sounds perfect. I know my Fiance is so un-materialistic that he couldn’t care less about a gift. In fact he said to me, “We’re not doing anything for Valentines Day, right?”
My birthday is Nov, then Christmas Dec., then his birthday January so by the time February rolls around we are a bit tired of the whole gift giving thing. We will prob. make dinner together and hang out.

DH and I will be at a couples retreat valentines day weekend, so that kind of limits what I can do. But his crazy ex gf stole his Bible (I know, who steals a Bible) and it was really special to him because it was a gift from his pastor who has moved away. I’m going to order a new Bible for him and have it sent to the pastor so he can write a note in it, and then give it to him for valentines day. I know that Bibles aren’t meaningful for everyone, but as a christian, I know it’s very important to DH. Especially since it was a gift from someone who had such a huge impact on his life during his teen years.

@Billsgirl: It hasn’t even crossed my mind yet. Maybe a romantic picnic dinner at home.

Not sure yet. It will depend on whether or not my Fiance is traveling for work again. I know I have to work on Valentine’s day until 9, so if he is home, we will probably do something on the 15th.

We don’t really do much for Valentine’s Day. He’ll probably get me flowers and maybe chocolate and we’ll make a nice dinner and have some champagne. Sounds pretty cliche typed out, actually. Lol. We’ve never exchanged big gifts or anything. Just not our style.

We typically don’t make a big deal out of Valentine’s Day except for a nice meal, which we do every night anyway os it still doesn’t feel like Valentine’s Day. We might pick something that would would only cook once in a blue moon though (like lobster or prime rib). It doesn’t help his b-day is 4 days later, so I typically lump his gifts together and cook him one really special meal, and that ends up being his birthday 🙂

@Billsgirl: Since we got engaged on V-Day, I always try to do something special….so I took the day off, and since you can’t really spend a whole day staring into each other’s eyes and holding hands, I figured we’d go to the shooting range for a while, see if they’ll let us blow away a dozen roses and one of those heart shaped boxes of candy…then we’ve got a reservation downtown at a Brazillian Steakhouse, I made it for four in case a couple we’re friends with wants to tag along….we’ll probably stuff ourselves and drink too much wine, end up passed out in bed with the puppies and wake up Saturday morning kind of hung over, but happy.

Haha…your posts always make me laugh. Have you ever thought of doing stand up?
