We’re going to my favorite restaurant (The Melting Pot).  This is also where fi took me right after he proposed!  And we’ll exchange gifts, though they aren’t really V-Day related.  For instance, I got fi a Pittsburgh Penguins Toaster (it toasts the teams logo onto the bread, lol) and Pittsburgh Penguins car mats.  Can you tell he likes the Penguins?  I have no idea what he’ll get me, but it’s more fun that way!

And you didn’t say what your plans are!

Probably nothing crazy because we celebrate it but don’t go all out. Usually just a small gift and card. Last year he was on a business trip for V-Day so I’m just glad he’ll be around at all this year!

It’s actually my FI’s birthday!  So we’re going out to dinner the Friday before and I bought him a bunch of awesome gifts!  Then Monday, the actual day, I’m going to get him a cake, make a delicious dinner and maybe celebrate with some red wine.  I also bought a “present” for the after hours Tongue out

Nothing on Valentines Day itself, but the weekend after I’m hoping to visit him when the roommate is away and have some cuddle time lol. Wink

Last year I got him a photo album of us, so this year I printed out more photos of us to add. I also got him some candy, a funny couples game I found at the dollar store and a card.

I get why others are kinda wary of this “holiday” but to me, it gives us an excuse to be together and be all cutesy.

i’m taking him… to San Francisco! 😀 we live in different states and see each other maybe one weekend a month. We didn’t have any sort of vacation last year, so I planned a Valentine’s vacation for us! We’re going to get e-pics done on Friday, go down to Monterey on the weekend, and go back up to SF for a nice fancy dinner at La Folie on Valentine’s Day. tres romantique!

@mjchexum: I totally understand too! Lol I know I’m gonna sound like a kid here, but Valentines is pretty special to me cause that was probably the first time I knew that he liked me, cause he hid chocolate in my locker at school. It was such a small thing, but I don’t think he never realized that it made me so happy.

Fiance and I are going to the beach for the weekend!  We are leaving on Friday and coming back on Monday.  Even though it’s not going to be warm- I am looking forward to just getting out of town with him.  (And we’re bringing our furbabies!)

my fiance only proposed less than 2 weeks ago, so it’s hard to really top that!! i think we’re just going to go our for dinner on valentines day maybe at a pub or something. i bought him a watch that i’m going to surprise him with since he didn’t get an engagement ring! oh geez i love him!

also i think it’s nice to celebrate valentines day, even if it is a corporate holiday! youdon’t have to buy anything, it’s just nice to have a day devoted to celebrating love! i mean…we have a Victoria day (haha) why can’t we have a love day?
