I can’t think of any ideas at the moment, but this is a great idea!!

What have you done in the past?

I love that idea. We don’t really go all-out in terms of spending on Valentine’s Day either — we usually save the nicer gifts for our anniversary and Christmas.

What are some of the things you have done in the past?

ETA: Sorry to repeat the question! Embarassed

What a great idea!

Are you looking to buy him something or create an experience?

The first thing that comes to mind is to create some sort of romantic picnic and have a lazy afternoon enjoying the picnic (and wine) 🙂

@hecallsmelove:  what about a photo book of your married life so far?  I’m thinking of those hardcover books you can make.  That would be a sweet keepsake, I bet (it came to mind after the slideshow he made for you – makes me think he enjoys sentimental things and looking back at photos).

We don’t usually do gifts. This year we are absolutely going to watch Die Hard 5 on Balentine’s Day. I’m so excited!

@hecallsmelove:  is there anything he especially likes to drink/eat?  Like a gourmet assortment of coffee or tea … or chocolates… or beef jerky (check out Gary West Meats – yum!) or liquor/beers?

I bake Fiance cakes.

Here’s the Pink Floyd cake I did a couple years ago:

It was one of my first times working with fondant. It was actually super easy, so if you’re open to trying something new, you might give it a chance. Cakes can be pretty cheap if you already have the dry ingredients on hand!

@EffieTrinket:  I bake too!  This is the cake I made my husband last year.

Last year I bought 100 Hershey’s kisses, removed the tags and replaced them with little strips of paper with 100 reasons why I love him.

Personally I thought it was genius! lol :p

@MissBettsy:  That is love.  And a lot of work!  Hope he liked it.
