No plans yet, but we’ve already talked about doing a movie/dinner combo at this really fun and casual place.  Another couple friend of ours says it’s their V-Day tradition, so we might steal it and adopt it as our own.  πŸ™‚  They said they wouldn’t mind.  Haha.  We’re just tired of having to get weird reservations at like 4:30 or 9:30 cause every place in town is super booked for V Day.

 Your retreat sounds awesome.

The retreat sounds great!

No plans yet! We may go to our fav place to eat, though I would like to do a night away, but who knows!

hmm, that is coming up soon isn’t it! lol Probably not much. It would be nice to get away for a weekend depending on work and school schedule. Might have to postpone that to President’s Day weekend though. Last year we went to Westminster Kennel Club dog show heh

We were going to fly to NYC but that got cancelled because I don’t want to fly with new regulations. Yeh, I’m being touchy, but thats my problem. πŸ™‚ Now, we are going to drive out to the Black Hills for some rodeo that he is very excited about. The 14th is also his birthday, so he kind of gets to pick his activities.

Our “dating anniversary” is on 1/28 so we’re going to do our “fancy” dinner that night.

For Valentine’s day, we’ll probably stay at home, pick out a new recipe, cook dinner together and relax watching a movie or sippin drinks in our hot tub… i’m hoping for snow outside that day! πŸ™‚

@PrncssDva: Snickers Fudge?! That sounds aaaaa-mazing…please share!

I doubt we’ll be doing much of anything. While I love Valentines, it’s never been a big thing w/ us. I’ll probably just end up making him a special dinner and movies πŸ™‚

We are going out for dinner- we always chose a different local organic place.  I think this year I might go to an organic steakhouse for Darling Husband (he rarely gets a steak!)

Years ago we started our own little tradition where one of us cooks for the other, and every year we rotate so this year it’s my turn to cook.  It’s always nice, intimate, and we don’t have to deal with the crowds.

My hubby works every year during valentines day, so we can’t do a getaway, which would love!

My plan is to do appetizers and open a bottle of wine at home, then we’ll go skating or tobogganing by our house together and then out for a late night dinner.  this was actually hubby’s valentines day plans a few years ago and it worked out really well.

@PrncssDva: What is a couple’s retreat? Is that something religious?

We will be in Florida visiting my husband’s aunt. I’m not a huge fan of Valentine’s Day – i’d rather pick a different day to celebrate when we won’t be overcharged for going out to ridiculously crowded restaurants!
