It would be too cliche for me and way too predictable.LOL I wouldn’t tell him no,(I’m not crazy!) but I’d feel like the moment wouldn’t be as special as a random day.

I’m sure there’ll be a lot of V-Day fiancees made!

I’m a Christmas Day 09 fiancee. =)

i’m sure TONS of pple will get engaged that weekend – Vday is on a Sunday this year i think. personally i think a Vday proposal is a bit cliche, but whatever floats your boat…. i know it’s not happening for me that weekend because Boyfriend or Best Friend has already tentatively planned a snowboarding trip with his friend to VT and i am more than likely not going. which is sad because we generally do something for each other that day (except for last year, which i’m still a little bitter about ;)).

… we definintely won’t get engaged on Valentines Day. He knows I’d kill him AND he hates the day as a general rule. We will be getting engaged in February though! Which is super exciting.

I try to hide out on V-day, lol. I buy Darling Husband a candy bar, nothing major.

We got engaged on February 12th because he knew I’d kill him if he did it on Valentines Day.  It also helped that we specifically planned a weekend getaway right before Valentines…

I don’t think its so cliche, i think it is a sweet time to get engaged. That was the original date my Fiance was going to do it on! πŸ™‚

aww i think it could (maybe) be cliche in some ways, but it could also be very sweet and romantic!

i think it’s very romantic as long as it’s not feb 11th (day my ex fi proposed) we’re okay…  but i also think that valentine’s day officially ends the engagement season… and from the looks of it i won’t make it this engagement season lol!! ahhh who really cares πŸ˜€

@fuschia: i think that’s sweet too.. i’d love the romantic candlelit dinner etc on valentine’s day the very cliche proposal with the whole restaurant watching.. but M isn’t into holidays so i’m pretty sure this is a stupid daydream πŸ˜€

I wouldn’t mind as long as I get that ring! However, I told my So that I would prefer a Christmas proposal. My grandparents were married on Christmas and my grandfather, who I loved very much past away almost 7 years ago so I would like to get engaged on their anniversary in memory of him, and the love he had for my grandmother.
