IMO proposals on any ‘holiday’ are cheesy – Valentines Day especially so.

I like the idea that everything has it’s own ‘day’. FI-to-be asked me out on my younger sisters birthday and she expects that I will spend her entire birthday day with her every year, so it gets s little tiresome either giving up spending the day with FI-to-be or listening to her b!tch about how she should ‘come first’. Which is probably why I’m so set on out engagement date (and wedding date etc.) being on their own special day.

That doesn’t mean it cannot be romantic and perfect, it’s just not for me.

I voted cheesy…even though my husband proposed on Valentine’s Day – but it was my birthday and V-Day had nothing to do with it 😉

It’s a cute idea V-Day, giving flowers & chocolates – I have given my Mum a rose every year for as long as I can remember. But I agree with showing your love every other day too 🙂

I voted cheesy, valentines day wouldn’t be my first choice for a proposal but that’s just my opinion. I was hoping for a Christmas proposal (that I didn’t get 🙁 lol) which a lot of people think is cheesy, so if you like it who cares what others think!!

I voted cheesy as well, don’t hate me! lol.  I am just not a fan of holiday proposals in general — or Valentine’s Day, period.   I made sure my Fiance knew that he was either going to propse before the holidays or well after them.  So, he proposed on December 8th which gave us a good middle mark between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Any proposal is special — it’s just personally, I didn’t want my proposal to be associated with a holiday.

Both. I had a Valentine’s proposal and it’s probably not what I would have picked, but it was very sweet and awesome.
