Chocolate desserts

Favors are not required and no one will miss them if they aren’t there, but edibles are best. You can give mini bags of Valentine candy or have a candy buffet setup with the Valentine-wrapped candies that come in pink, red, silver.

Be aware that most flowers, especially roses, will be more expensive at that time.

If your venue allows it (most churches will not), you could walk down the aisle to Valentine by Martina McBride or have that as your first dance.

What ideas do you have sofar?

You can do something along these lines adapted to fit your colors and scatter fake snow and snowflakes around them on the table:

we have the same weddding date!!! im doing black and white damask and red. still trying to figure out favors as well but centerpeices im just doing flowers, lots and lots of red roses. i have these Amazing Damask fabric squares to place int he center of the table over black table clothes. and then i plan on just a mirrored tile and candles around the vase. prety simple.

my idea for favors is this: a friend of mine brews beer at home, it takes him about 2 months to make a few cases so he said he would take me to the store and we can pick out flavors and colored bottles if i want. then we would just put custom labels on them. I found these ice buckets that are also place cards…but im still toying with the idea, i have to see what the policy at the reception venue for brining in alcohol.

yay for valentines weekend! what a romantic honeymoon that will make right? my FH birthday is the 17th so we will have that to celebrate as well.

You could always use conversation hearts for your favors. That would be inexpensive and easy to do.

I’m having valentines theme wedding too! I originally wanted my date to be Feb 12, 2012 as that is our anniversary but had to move the wedding to 2013 for financial reasons. So I am thinking of changing it to Feb 22 so it will be on a friday night rather than I think a Tuesday being when the 12th falls.

This is what I’m thinking of for decor.
