I found this dress at a second hand shop called Value Village. Enjoy the pictures and when I do get married, I will do a recap with it on! I have to alter the length because I am only 5″1″ and I am worried because of the embroidery on the tulle part! I absolutely LOVE it! Are you ready? Big pics and all 6 of them.
The back of the dress is lace-up, no zipper, no buttons

Aww its cute!!! (and my wedding colors)

wouldn’t be my style because I don’t like colors on wedding dresses, but if that’s your thing, then go for it.

Oh, I love the beading! The orchid and green colors look so lovely. Great find!

Perfect for a spring wedding!

So you’re not engaged yet? I’m just curious.
If you’re happy, then that’s all that matters!

@Blanche: So you’re not engaged yet? I’m just curious.
We are, but no ring yet. The other engagement ring and band sits on the shelf because I want him to “propose” instead of just “putting on a ring” sort of deal… We had an episode recently and we are starting over again, we have lived together for 5 years, if that helps with the curiosity.

not my style, but great deal!

God so much of my wedding decor came from the Pembroke and Orleans location for our July wedding. I miss value village so much that place rocks.

Good shopping ! There are some thrift stores here in my area , and a couple of them had dozens of dresses… maybe from a shop’s storage that went out of biz or something. Priced $49.99 and actually if it was the right size and had a good professional cleaning , some were really very pretty.
I bet they will be bought more for theater and school plays and halloween than weddings.

oooooh Garden wedding!!!!!!! we have a VV and the items usually arent nearly as well kept as that dress, what an awesome find! congrats!

@mypinkshoes: It probably was a prom dress, but i don’t care. It’s beautiful and I love it. I could pick a wedding dress (plain white or ivory) that looks like a “wedding” dress but I just love the embroidery.

I think it’s GORGEOUS. It’s so feminine and whimsical and unique! Don’t know if you’ve thought of wearing a veil, but some kind of colored edge that echoes the purple and green on the dress would be so romantic, or maybe a birdcage with purple flowers and ivy if you were aiming for something more retro. Or purple flowers and ivy braided into your hair! I can see so many possibilities with this dress.

I know! But it’s been decided (by me!) that I will be wearing my mother’s almost 50 year old tiara, and I would love to have a veil with some type of colored edging to it. My mom wore a birdcage veil for her second wedding and I don’t particularly like them. Although some are very beautiful, I personally cannot fathom wearing one of those. I want to be a princess for a day! LOL
