yaaay possible ceremony twins! My fiancé and I will be having our ceremony and cocktail hour at starling lane and then heading over to the beach house restaurant (where you can stay until 1AM).

We had the same problem as you, so many beautiful venues but 11PM closing time. Here were our options: the beach house restauarant, prospect lake community centre, fireside grill, the da vinci centre, and royal victoria golf club. I’d also double check with parkside hotel, oak bay beach hotel and brentwood lodge.

I went to a wedding a few years ago at the royal victoria golf club and we partied HARD into the wee hours of the morning. Oh, and you don’t have to be a member to host a wedding there.

We ended up picking the beach house restaurant for it’s BEAUTIFUL ocean view and it’s about a 10-15 minute drive from starling lane.

Another option if you’re not dead set on starling lane is Affinity Guest House, it’s absolutely STUNNING! It was our alternate and sometimes I wish we booked there… anyway, hope this helps!

amab:  You may be fully aware and open to the possibility of a wedding in either location, but just wanted to check to see if you aware that the Sunshine Coast is not even close to the Island? It is on the Mainland of BC across Georgia Strait.

I have no idea how late they will allow you but I know sreal people who have had weddings at the Rockwater secret cove resort and they looked beautiful.

@julies1949 those two areas are just across the Georgia straight from each other which is pretty darn close if you are looking for an ocean location in southern BC.
