@mtbikelover:  MY Darling Husband did not have one, but I used to work for a surgeon who performed them on out outpatient basis frequently.

The way they do it now, it is a procedure that is done in under ten minutes and they are released with no restricitions. While lowered libido is not technicially a side effect, we did observe several men who returned for their semen analysis after the procedure report back that they experienced this. However, it was always followed with the reason being, they were nervous that the procedure wouldn’t work and they might accidentally get their wives pregnant. Not due to any kind of change in the body.

On that note, make sure your husband actually returns for his semen analysis to ensure that he is shooting blanks! We had one guy come storming in 6 months after his procedure FURIOUS because he had knocked up his mistress… He never came in for the semen analysis afterwards and just “assumed” all was good to go. Surprised

Pain after the proceedure, and some men say their sex drive (temporarily) lessened.

Some guys say it’s because they felt like “less of a man”, and some because they were worried that it hadn’t actually worked!

Several of my friend’s husbands and a bunch of my boyfriend’s friends did it (I guess we’re at that age! LOL). Not one had any side effects.

I would think the opposite, that they would be more amorous now that they weren’t afraid of an unwanted pregnancy!
