My Darling Husband had a reversal about a year and a half ago. His SA came back at 16mil but with a low morphology. I’ve heard of men taking supplements and doing acupuncture to increase the quality and/or count of their sperm. Has anyone had any success with either?? Our next step is doing an IUI but it’s expensive. I’d like to avoid that route if I can!!

MrsPerry0427: My Darling Husband was diagnosed with MFI (low count, motility and morph) in January and we immediately made changes that I think helped.
We did the simple stuff first: He stopped spin class, started wearing loose boxers, no more laptops in his lap, exercising more and eating better. A few weeks later he started a suppliment regime: Fertilaid, MotilityBoost and CountBoost as well as CoQ10 & Maca Root. I’m not sure of the timeline but all of his numbers increased after his 2nd and 3rd SA. But not enough to get him out of the ‘low range’. By mid-May our RE prescribed him Clomid to increase his testosterone, and plans for IVF in August were discussed if things didn’t increase enough. THEN we got our BFP in early June, just weeks after we were told we had a slim-0 chance of concieving naturally. Unfortunately, we miscarried last month but are hopeful that we can avoid AR since one spermie made it there before. Although we didn’t get long term sucsess that resulted in a baby just yet, I am confident that the changes we made helped. Good luck to you!
