Dollar Tree also has clear cylinder vases for $1.

If you are using silk flowers you would not even need vases.  You can get plexiglass tubing cheap and do that same exact look.

The vases he found are pretty. Maybe you can use them on a guestbook table or something else. Guys usually don’t make requests for wedding decor, and this is his party too, so figure out a compromise that makes both of you happy.

@Roxitink: You can always use his vases along side yours with white or ivory flowers in them, or your different accent colors.  You could also use the smaller ones to hold the table numbers.

For a purple and grey wedding you could use the colored vases with purple flowers , greens and Dusty Miller for the grey.

This is a bouquet but you could use the same ideas for a centerpiece. They used peonies but you could use hydrangeas along with Dusty Miller, Lily Pad Seed Pods, Scabiosa Pods, and Snowberries.
