We are getting married on July 28 at Mt Charleston Baptist Church. We are the only non-members who have gotten married there!!

Oh, and we live in Whitney Ranch.

Who are you using for your vendors so far? Did you get your dress already?

I am doing a lot of DIY too. Or at least, I plan to. HAHA! I completely stressed myself out over the invites so I bailed and ordered them.

We’ve only selected our photographer (Tyler Freear — he is AMAZING! I know about 5 other girls who have used them and his pictures are absolutely unbelievable.) and my exes mom is doing the flowers (lol I know, but we are still very close… she went with me to pick out my dress!). I bought my dress at Bowties by Sunset Gardens. I went to several other salons and just kept going back to that one (Bridal and boutique was awful… she didn’t know her own stock, and had her dog jumping up all over the place. Celebrations had fantastic service – Lindsey especially – and the selection was fantastic, even for plus sizes. I just didn’t happen to find THE dress there. DB on Marks was terrible. The consultant was great, but they double booked her, and she also had to deal with about 4 walk-ins. So nobody got any attention. I felt bad for her, but it was my day, and I wanted to feel that way!  Bowties was great all three times I’ve been in. They really know their stuff, and they never pressured me, which made me feel very comfortable. The last time I went in, I didn’t have an appointment, and there were three brides there and I still felt like I was the only one. Every time I’ve called for something even AFTER the sale, I’ve been treated like they still were earning my business! and Alfred Angelo on Mall ringwas middle of the road. not fabulous, but no extra special treatment. blah.)

We are considering RSVP for rentals, and BBQ and More Catering for our food (we are having an outdoor bbq)

Congrats on your wedding! This is a fun adventure!! πŸ™‚

We picked our vests and ties from Mens Wearhouse on Stephanie today, and found an awesome corduroy coat for my Fiance that looks soooooo good! I made him put it on three times because I just liked looking at him in it! Glad we are buying that, he looks HOT! LOL

Also, we went by Freed’s on Eastern (the new one by Target) to make an appt for a cake tasting and they had a consultant ready right then! We picked our cake, did a tasting (yum!) and they were SUUUUPER helpful, and had great suggestions for cutting costs!  So far, a great experience!!

That’s all my new vendors for now!!

I’d love to see your diy pics!!
