I was just there in July and they had zip lines on Freemont Street (old Las Vegas).  We didn’t get the change to do it, but it looked AWESOME!  Not sure if they will still have it next year, but it’s worth looking up.

Have fun!  I <3 Vegas as well.

Hey there! We had never been to Vegas before but we got married there two weeks ago. We didn’t get to see everything we wanted to, but this is what we had time to do/see:

1. Cirque du Soleil’s Beatles Love — really enjoyed it but I was kind of tired, so I probably didn’t pay as much attention as I should have.

2. The indoor gondolas at the Venetian — we told the guy that we had just got married and he sang us a bunch of Italian wedding songs. I loved it and even bought the pictures!

3. Dinner at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant @ Paris — this was my favorite part of our honeymoon!! The food was incredible but VERY expensive.

We stayed at the Aria Hotel. It is one of the new hotels and built in 2009 (I believe.) It was huge! We really loved staying there.

I highly recommend The HOTEL at Mandalay Bay.  The rooms are all set up like NYC styly apts complete with separate living room, guest bathroom and master bathroom and a bedroom with door that closes.  Plus I love that property.  They have a beach and wave pool and lazy river and they have a free tram so you can access the strip easily.

Also, if you can go see KA at the MGM (Cirque de Soleil) or Carrot Top (I know, I know…but he was SERIOUSLY funny!).

I’d say stay at Wynn if you have the opportunity. If you’re looking for other options, Caesar’s, Cosmopolitan and anything in City Center are really nice, too. Trump is great for non-gambling luxury.

I know you’ve seen most of the must-see items. As far as clubs/lounges, VooDoo Lounge at the Rio is fun, though MixLounge at Mandalay Bay also has a great view with an outside portion and it’s less crazy and a bit cheaper. Do yourself a favour and get bottle service if you do go to a club or lounge. Mandalay also has Shark Reef, a cool aquarium exhibit. Take a walk through MGM if you get a chance and check out the lions! Mirage has a dolphin habitat. I love walking through Crystals Mall at City Center, the architecture and use of space is cool, but everything is super expensive and designer, Fashion Show Mall has more reasonable prices if you wanted to go shopping.

Check out Fremont Street. It’s old Vegas, and they have a Zip-Line so you can fly about the street. LA Comedy Club in the Four Queens on Fremont that is really reasonably priced with pretty good comedians. If you get a chance to take a drive off strip and like hiking at all Red Rock is BEAUTIFUL. Take a day trip to Lake Las Vegas. If you like country music, Stoney’s Rockin’ Country is a huge country bar, they do line dancing and such.

Not sure what else is considered alternative?
