New York, New York. Definitely!! You can get a really great deal too IF you look. My fiance and I found a deal that was $400/person for 3 nights 4 days at the NY. It was AMAZING!

We stayed at nyny last time we went and besides the room being inexpensive and surprisingly spa like and nice there were also quite a few less expensive dining options nearby (in the actual hotel and across the street). We got a 6 day package from Vancouver for two for $600. If you plan to utilize the monorail I’d suggest a hotel on that side of the street like Paris which is where we plan to stay for our next budget trip. Dh wentffor his bachelor party as well and they got a decent deal at the Venetian which might be worth it if you don’t plan on exploring too much and want a room/pool focused trip.
For a good hotel at a reasonable price i would suggest MGM, luxor or NYNY. For a bit better try the bellagio and for top of the range try the wynn or venetian, both are amazing.
You should also keep your eye on the travel section deals on Gilt Groupe and especially Ideeli. I’ve scored some very reasonable deals and upgrades. I have also seen some really great options on Living Social, believe it or not.
mrslafountain…..we got married the same day, and we also had our honeymoon in Vegas….we stayed at the Mirage. we went on the 14th August and stayed for 12 nights……I bet we were there at the same time. ๐
I definitely recommend the Cosmopolitan!! That is where my fiance proposed and it was amazing! If you call ahead of time and tell them you are there for a special occasion, they will definitely make sure you get an amazing view with all the perks. That is what happened when my fiance told them he was proposing. ALSO, we both got the flu for a couple days while we were there. It was awful to be sick but our room was amazing so it wasn’t all that bad that we were stuck inside for a few days. ๐ Which would be a good perk on a honeymoon – wasn’t so great for us. ๐
There are SO many deals for hotels in Vegas — look around!
That said, Vdara is my favorite place to stay. It’s right in the middle of everything, but it’s not a casino, so it’s smaller and quieter than the rest. LOVED it!
I’ll be staying at Planet Hollywood Towers (timeshare that is at the back of Planet Hollywood Casino) nice large rooms, jaccuzi tub in the bedroom ๐ oh and walking distance from everything is great. A good friend of mine always stays at Planet Hollywood casino every time she goes (3 times a year) and LOVES it, great location, decent rates, everything has been redone in the past few years. The only thing with PH is the late night poker table entertainment… they get some scantily clad dancers up on on poles right in the middle of the casino floor! Everything is glitzy and gorgeous. ๐ I can hardly wait to go!
OH! and as hotchildinthecity mentioned, the pool does suck at PH. but if you make sure you have a nice giant tub, do you really need a mediocre public pool?
I’d say find some deals, then call the casinos and ask if they have honeymoon deals, ask about any amenities you are interested in. To be within walking distance of all the fun casinos on the strip I’d say dont stay anywhere south of NYNY or North of Venitian/TI.
I love Mandalay Bay and THE hotel… or the 4 seasons (pricey!)
We are staying at Encore!! Highly recommend this resort!! Adult pool is fabulous! No kiddos ruining yoursunning with screaming and running all over. Some women do take there tops off (yikes) but, otherwise it’s good respectful people! But, clean good entertaining resorts!! We love the lounges too! WE got engaged there last May at Botero….and now, this year we are going again in May for our HoneyMoon! Can’t beat the weather either. Being from New England we sure do enjoy going and getting tan in early May….good prep for the summer ahead!!!
