We had our wedding rehearsal at a restuarant called Pearl at the MGM Grand Hotel. Our dinner was served in a room separate from the rest of the dining area, we had about 15 people total, the service was excellent, the food was AMAZING, drinks were great, and it was a lot of fun! I think it would be a great place to host a little reception dinner.

There’s a Maggiano’s right on the strip.. I am sure their prices are quite reasonable.

Do you want it to be like an official reception or more of friends/family all going out for dinner?

@VegasWedding:  We had our reception at Maggiano’s and it was AMAZING!! And has great bang for your buck. We had a bigger reception, but they have a smaller room you can use. Great food, family style…I would totally suggest looking into it. 

Another thing I have seen brides do is hold a smaller reception in a hotel suite and cater in. Seems very doable.

@VegasWedding:  I’ve seen more casual receptions at Border Grill in Mandalay Bay. You could do lunch, dinner, or apps and drinks! The food is really good! They have great outdoor space too.

Like PP’s have said, Maggiano’s is great. They have little banquet rooms and offer many services at a pretty affordable rate (dance floor options, etc). My Fiance actually proposed there, it was our first date resaurant. You could also check out Rainbow Gardens or Victoria’s, from what I have heard they are very reasonable (under 5k) and you could do it all in one place (with Elvis I’m sure). Most restaurants around town cater or have reception options, so you could have a small reception in a hotel room catered or have it at a restaurant. Good luck!

@VegasWedding:  We are keeping the wedding Parisian themed so married at the Paris Hotel and then Mon Ami Gabi private room for dinner.

When planning, I went from wanting buffet to make all happy in a semi-private area about $50 a person with what we wanted. The private rooms have minimums though. Our room has a $2000 minimum and seats 30 people. It will be about double or a bit more per person but I decided the private room and not standing on a buffet line in wedding gear was worth it. I wanted it to feel like a wedding not a dinner out.

There are tons of options, a million gorgeous hotels with many nice restaurants in each. Where are you getting married? maybe pick a location close and then start contacting about minimums and menus???
