- Wedding: September 2020 - Las Vegas, NV
Hi bees! I am newly engaged (Dec 2018) and we plan to be married in Las Vegas on September 26th 2020. I am wracking my brain trying to find a package that suits our needs-26 people on our guest list +/- 5 or so. I’d like the ceremony and reception to be in the same place and my budget is around 5K. I am concerned that if I speak to a wedding coordinator I will get sucked into something I don’t want or be pressured. Has that happened to any of y’all? First time planning a wedding so I’m at a complete loss.
I realize the ceremony will only be about 15-30 minutes long, and then off to the reception we go. The biggest costs I see us incurring are my dress, the restaurant we choose, and lodging for all the guests (if I pay that cost?). I don’t plan to have a DJ or flowers besides my bouquet for me and the two BM’s and boutinerres (SP) for the GM/groom. My family is flying to Vegas from Texas, and my fiance’s (Brian) family is flying in from Washington.
I am slightly OCD about planning big things like vacations and have a weird urge to just “get it done”. Brian gets slightly irritated when I mention anything planning because we have so much time but he does know about this urge. Any advice to keep it simple and get it done? Also, our theme is “The tree of life” which shows up on the STD’s and invites I’ve (I know I know) already started brainstoring on. Thanks in advance Bees!
