My fiancé and I have decided to get married in Vegas next year, just the two of us.
We’ve booked a wedding chapel, but are unsure where is best to go afterwards! We’ll probably have dinner and drinks, but would like to go somewhere lively with atmosphere but not a club.
Has anyone gotten married / planning on in Vegas? What did you do?

If you aren’t looking for a club – literally every hotel on the strip has a nice lobby bar that is usually bustling at night. We hung out in the cromwel bar and it was actually pretty fun. Was more laid back than a club, but still had a dance floor and DJ.
Honestly, it was really fun to walk the strip in our clothes after the night had ended. Everyone was so nice and yelled out good wishes everywhere we went. We got a few free drinks too haha.
Maybe look up lounges with the type of music you like and go from there. I am sure you two will find something to get into that night 🙂

walk the strip and let the night take you away.

Fremont with maybe a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon the day after?

We hung out at Fremont street. We took pix there and then roamed around. Then we went back to the casino and gambled and drank. It was lots of fun.

L606 : Thanks so much! That sounds perfect actually, just what I was after! Haha maybe we won’t get changed out of our wedding outfits then 😉

bibliophilacticbee : Sounds good! I’ll have a look into that now, thank you! I’ve just booked a Grand Canyon trip for the day before, and cirque du soleil for the night after 🙂 really can’t wait!

JazzyGirl85 : Fremont street looks really fun! I didn’t even know about it (and I’ve been to Vegas before – obviously not done properly haha) thank you!

I live in Vegas, and honestly… Fremont is kind of a trash heap. It really is dirty. By all means go and experience it for yourself, but there are plenty of other tourist spots in Vegas that aren’t as nasty. Close to it is downtown and the arts district, and those are great spots, but it’s mostly clubs, bars, and restaurants.

Oh, but you can zipline down Fremont. I’m not how well you’d be able to do that in a dress, though!

Also live in Vegas. There are some really nice restaurants here. You didn’t say what time of year ortime you are getting married. Beltrans limosine has a lights and sights limo tour. It’s very reasonable and they take you to all the major attractions at night. Drivers will even take photos or you can take a photographer along with.

I recommend the sky bar at stratosphere, the chandelier bar at the cosmopolitan for fun special bars with nice atmospheres (and views!)
I also thought the restaurant at the top of the Paris was really special

- Wedding: May 2019 - Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress
For just drinks, I definitely recommend the Chadeleir Bar! It’s such a glamorous setting to have champagne in in your wedding clothes! You can follow it up with dinner at STK, a really fun steakhouse at the Cosmo. They have DJs spinning tunes at night and the food is delicious.
I also really like the Alto Bar at Caesars Palace. It’s right on the casino floor so the vibe is high-energy. There are tons of great restaurants at Caesars for dinner, too.
I just got engaged in Vegas so I can only imagine how fun a post-wedding celebration would be there!!

Go to one of the top 5* hotels – go for lovely drinks in the bar (theyll have a nice one) and book a suite with a highrise view for your wedding evening!
Hope that helps!
