It depends what you’re into. I have zero desire to ever go to Vegas, but if you think that the two of you will enjoy gambling, shows, and restaurants together, then you might like it. My coworker and her husband go every year and they love it.

My Fiance and I really enjoy Vegas!  (it’s also where we got engaged which certainly helps it out in my book Smile).  But seriously – there are tons of shows of all different types, great restaurants, gambling can also be fun if that’s your thing, lots of shopping, fun nightlife, etc.  I think it could be a really fun place for a honeymoon.  Plus, if you stay at one of the more well-known hotel casinos, they have beautiful pool areas where you guys could spend time just relaxing and be away from the hustle and bustle of the strip.

There really is a whole other side to Vegas that isn’t so bachelor party-ish.  The last time that we were there, we didn’t drink a single time and spent maybe an hour or two gambling, there was so much else to do!

There are some get amazing deals on hotel suites and packages that include discounts to the spa, restaurants, and shows at any given hotel.  You can easily spend a few days there just wandering around and checking out the shops and eating amazing food.  FutureKMM hit the nail on the head–there are some great places to go escape from the crowds to go be alone together.

I go to Vegas to party, but there are definitely other things you can do there.  My parents spent a week there and loved it, and they obviously don’t drink or party or anything.

There’s gambling, shows, and awesome people-watching.  And there’s day trips you can do to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, etc.  And the pools in Vegas are awesome!  I’ve heard that one at Mandalay Bay is especially awesome.

We’re getting married in Vegas AND honeymooning there!

When I first went to Vegas, I thought I would hate it. I don’t party… I hardly drink… and I barely gamble. However, I fell in LOVE with the city!  I took Fiance there the following year, and he fell in love as well. We knew right away we would get married there.

Las Vegas is definitely whatever YOU want it to be. If you don’t want to drink/party, don’t!  Vegas caters to your every whim, which is awesome.

Honeymoon ideas:

1. If you stay at one of the better hotels, you will be guaranteed a GORGEOUS room & luxurious stay (Venetian, Wynn, Bellagio, etc).

2. Fantastic pools (to relax!)

3. World class spas

4. World class dining

5. The city can be VERY romantic just walking around & seeing the sights (Bellagio fountains, Venetian gondola rides, etc)

Again, partying isn’t my thing at all… but I love the city so much I’m getting married there!  I hope that helps!

Fiance begged me to go to Vegas for our honeymoon – I was totally against it – I suggested he go for a week/weekend w/ friends (thinking he would have wayyy more fun!).  Well he won and I’m actually looking forward to the week there – there is soo much to do!  We are staying @ the Bellagio and I’ve heard excellent things about it!  Check out different websites and read about it – it will definite make you excited to go (thats what happened for me!).

We really like Vegas!  Its fun to gamble a little, but that’s the furthest thing down on the list when we go.  We really enjoy the restuarants, some of the best chefs have amazing restaurants there.  I LOVE the shopping (I’ll never get sick of going to places like Neiman Marcus at 12:30am) and the shows are great.    There are wonderful spas too.  We wanted to do the helecopter ride to the Grand Canyon but ran out of time, but that’s something that sounds like so much fun!  You might end up having a lot of fun.

i’m not a gambler or partier but i still enjoy vegas. you could go on a gondola ride, go to the top of the eiffel tower, they have great restaurants like the buffet in paris, gardens in the bellagio, lots of shows, and just the hotels themselves are amazing. there’s tons of things to do everywhere, and they all have nice spas and pools.
