I bought a veil with my dress and got a discount on both so didn’t cost a lot for what it is. My veil is 2 tier chapel length with tiny sparkly crystals all over it and a raw edge.
However having discovered horsehair edged veils (which don’t exist much in the UK and I’ve seen mainly on here and on etsy) I now feel I a chapel length 2 tier horsehair veil instead
Here is my dress
Pre alterations and a size too big but you get the idea. Can I get a vote on whether people would go for crystals or horsehair? I’ve discovered I can get a horsehair veil on etsy and I’m happy to sell my own on if I do getanother. a

I wouldn’t pair a horsehair edged veil to that gown. It’ll bring in an all new element that will end up competing with your gown. I would either go with the classical raw edge or a ribbon edge for that gown. It’s such a beautiful gown by itself, I don’t think it needs much to show it off at all. Horsehair and lace edge veils are probably the 2 most difficult ones to pull off.

I think the horsehair veil could work! it just depends on the style of the veil you choose. Horsehair is tricky because you really need a dress that isn’t ornate to pull it off well. Your dress is perfect for adding some extra interest to the veil. Also the lines/rouching of the dress would be echoed with the horsehair detail. Do you have a few in mind?

Pretty overwhelmingly in favour of the sparkles which I guess is handy as I already own it. Thanks so much for the input and solidifying the plan in my head, maybe I was just being a sucker for something new.
