- Wedding: October 2018
So my wedding is under 3 weeks and I hadn’t really been 100% sold on a veil so I didn’t want to shell out the extra money for it and was going to use my best friend’s as my “something borrowed”. However, once she sent it to me it turned out WAYY too ivory/yellow looking next to my off-white dress. So now I’m kind of out of time to really order most veils because they are so often made-to-order.
I have the Jaymes gown from Alexandra Grecco in Off white (https://www.alexandragrecco.com/jaymes-gown/)
I am thinking of ordering a veil from etsy and just paying for rush shiping because I still don’t want to shell out more than $100 on a veil. I am afraid white will be too white and ivory will be too dark. Has anyone had experience with diamond white veils? My seamstress warned me away from them because she said they look very blue-hued in person but I feel like all the pictures I see of samples (https://www.etsy.com/listing/186199095/veil-color-samples-white-veil-ivory-veil?ref=related-4) look like it would be the better shade.
I also like the moonlight veil from bhldn but it says it is ivory–I just can’t really tell from pictures and it’s a little pricier.
Advise from anyone who has had an Alexandra Grecco gown or similar shaded gown?
