steph91:  No experience with your type dress but, I also bought my dress in ivory and then bought a veil from Etsy in ivory. Once I tried them both together they looked as if it was meant to be! lol I wouldn’t worry much as I’m sure it will probably match just fine. Also even if they are a bit off I don’t think anyone will notice unless is a tremendous difference.

steph91:  I don’t think they have to match eactly, I think they just need to look good together. For example, my dress is blush. I tried on a veil that was the exact same color as my dress and didnt like it. I got a “champagne” colored veil and it looks great together. I think if they’re both Ivory, they will be close enough to look good together.

If they are both ivory, you should be good. I think they would look a bit “off” if one was white, and one was ivory. But I think you will be ok!

I feel like if a dress is in ivory, the veil should be in ivory. An ivory dress with a white veil could look a little odd. I know it’s impossible to get everything the same exact shade of anything, but since you bought both in ivory that should be good enough. No one will be able to tell if something is off by half a shade

My dress is ivory and the veil I am ordering from Etsy is liget ivory. Mine will be 3 tiers so I was hoping for a good balance between looking like it matched (ie obviously not stark white) without looking dirty because of so many layers. I think your best bet is to match or go one shade lighter. So with an ivory dress go for ivory or light ivory. If your dress is champagne/light gold go for champagne or ivory but light ivory would be too light. If that makes sense.

I have a champagne colored dress and an ivory veil. The ivory veil looked way better against the champagne than a champagne veil. The matchy-matchy just didn’t work. The contrast was better, so I’m sure even if the ivories are different colors it’ll be fine.

steph91:  Saw your veil on another thread and loved the drape, wondering if you could share the etsy seller (or PM me with it)? I dont have much time and dont want to risk the fabric not being soft enough 🙂 Sems like you did all the research for me!
