I have a blush dress and a light ivory 1 layer tulle veil. I was told not to get a blush veil as it would look too dark against the blush dress. My veil is very transparent so it looks beautiful. Is yours solid at all (I.e. Thick lace trim) 2 solids against each other might look off, but if it’s transparent then your plan sounds perfect!

Mine don’t match bc I have a white dress and MIL’s veil which looks ivory. I dont have any pics yet though.

I think it will be juuuuussst fine. I’ve heard it’s better to go with a lighter veil (vs dress color), if anything.

I’m sure it will be beautiful!

I made my daughter’s veil to go with her sherbet colored dress.  I was two layers of tulle, one ivory and one blush,  It was a perfect match for $10.

Yes, lighter veil than dress usually looks better.  I have an ivory dress and ordered an ivory veil, but the veil turned out to be darker and looked dingy.  I ended up ordering a whilte veil since my dress was so light of an ivory.  I think it looked great.

I also have a champagne/blush dress with an ivory veil, it looks great.  I do think because it is sheer it will look fine.  I think the lighter color will be fine 🙂

@haker4:  I would ask the ETSY shop owner to send you a swatch of fabric….that is what I did when I would my veil. Just ask to send a large enough sample so you can really get a good idea.

@haker4:  My dress is hard to match so I’ve been researching mis-matched dress and veil combos.  A lighter veil always always always looks better IMO.

also, your dress is lovely!
