My veil was 220 (and a gift!), for a waltz length mantilla veil.

Go to Occansey Designs!! (occanseydesigns.com). I got a cathedral length veil from there for $60, and they have the best customer service.

It sounds a bit high, but not by much.  I tried on some fingertip length veils (without blusher) and was quoted anywhere from $160-$200.  Look around online and on etsy and you could find a better deal.

don’t buy your veil from a bridal salon! i tried on a plain cathedral for $450…ridiculous. i’m making it for less than $20.

etsy has a lot of great veils under $100, along with the websites pp’s mentioned.

    Mine was a simple single tier finger-tip veil with a thin pencil edge… I bought it from a WB-user for $30.  🙂

I made mine and I am not a sewer!  It cost $10 plus the cost of nice scissors.  It was floor length.  I wasn’t willing to spend $200 on something that I wasn’t totally sure I wanted.  It worked out great!

I was fortunate b/c my “something borrowed” was my fingertip veil from my friend who couldn’t attend the wedding.  So, it was FREE!  Wink

Mine would have been $50 but I HAD to have the additional chapel length.. which was totally worth it!! 🙂

I second Occansey Designs.  They are here in my home state and she has killer stuff for great prices.  She doesn’t have what I was looking for but she is really sweet and most of my friends have used her veils and they are stunning.

I got mine off of ebay for $30.  I am only going to wear it during the actual wedding, so I wasn’t about to spend $300 on something to wear for 20 minutes.  Check out ebay…mine is pretty, it has beads around the edge so it sparkles!
