I am clueless about accessories and would love to get advice! I have the Watters Austin dress, and I posed this question to my fellow Austin brides, but would love to get advice from anyone who knows about the type of veils that are supposed to go with certain dresses!
My mom’s pushing for a long dramatic cathedral veil because the dress is on the simple (but gorgeous and elegant!) side and we’ll be in a big fancy chapel for the ceremony.
Although I love the drama of a cathedral veil, I worry that it would interfere with the look and movement of the dress. I absolutely LOVE the long train and how the skirt bounces and flounces when you walk around (it’s like walking on a cloud!!), would a cathedral veil cover all that up? I know that veils are see through so it wouldn’t really cover up much, but would it hinder the bounce??
Is my instinct right that a fingertip veil with a little sparkle + blusher would be the right way to go?
Here’s the dress and the back:
To really see how it moves, watch this video starting at 5:36. This is the video that sold the dress for me and made me realize it was THE ONE. 🙂
