Go for it! I think it would be elegant.

I think a cathedral length veil with lace would look gorgeous with that gown! Perhaps you can add some lace around the bust (on either side of the bling) to tie it in? If not, I would suggest getting a laced-edge veil with a little bit of sparkle. I attached a photo of my veil on the model. You can’t tell in this picture, but there are tiny swarovski crystals sewn into the lace for a bit of sparkle. No matter what you do – that dress is beautiful on you!

This is my dress and I was just wondering if you decided about the veil in the end as I think I would like something similar.

@baylorgirl96:  I just bought this dress too!! I definitely think you can have a lace edged veil – get one with a little sparkle and it will look perfect. You look so beautiful in the dress!

@MrsW2b:  I just bought the Maude too! I haven’t seen it on many other people, so I’m excited to find you guys! I’m leaning towards no veil right now, but I would definitely do a lace-edged veil with this.

@LilacViolet:  I’m also leaning towards no veil. Here is me with the dress on (just the sample so way too big). The veil was just the one the girl in the shop gave me but I don’t really like it. So nice to find others with this dress!

@MrsW2b:  Aw, Maude looks great on you!! How are you doing your hair? I’m thinking half up / half down.

I don’t think I like that veil, either. My bridal consultant put a fingertip length veil on me, and it was all one length and behind my shoulders, and it wasn’t bad.  Maybe try something like that?

I originally thought I wanted a birdcage veil, but I’m not sure it would work with this dress. I really like this Twigs & Honey birdcage.

@LilacViolet:  I was thinking of something like this (that is also my tiara)

@MrsW2b:  Pretty tiara! It will match the sparkly bit well on the dress.

@baylorgirl96:  I LOVE the Maude on you and think a lace veil would be gorgeous!

I too bought this dress so it’s great to see other Maude brides out there!!  I also had a different vision altogether when looking for my gown, so I’m still trying to get used to this as my pick (but I do love it).  I decided to have the bridal salon alter the top to a strapless, soft sweatheart neckline and I’m going to wear a cathedral veil with some type of crystal embellishments because there is nothing but the corset in the back.

I have the same dress Maggie Sottero Maude in size 6 for sale if anyone wants it. I never wore it, brand new, just picked it up from the store yesterday. I went with another dress I bought in a store because I wasn’t able to get this dress in time for the wedding. Asking $950, but I will negotiate price.

Any body wants it email me [email protected]
