oooo…so pretty.  I think a mantilla with a subtle pattern would be stunning.

Its hard to tell for the pic how long the train is, but it looks on the short side.  So I’d say either a chapel length veil that is just slightly longer than the train, or a waltz (knee) length veil.  Mantilla style would be great, although I think the lace edging should be on the narrow side so as not to compete with your dress.  Also, I don’t think you can get a 2-tiered mantilla style veil… but you can certainly get a 2-tiered veil with lace edges.  It you’d like to do something a little different, look at other veil fabrics–organza, chiffon, english net, etc.

I’m also really curious about your version of the dress–what does the neckline look like? Did the designer alter it for you or are you going through a seamstress?  Do you have any pictures or sketches of the modified version?  Its so hard to find more modest dresses!  I went strapless with a jacket, only because I couldn’t find a dress I liked with sleeves.  And what you describe sounds beautiful!

Ooh, it looks amazing. With that much lace, though, I would go with a plain tulle (or perhaps chiffon) veil. Too much lace and you will start looking like a pastry. I’d also go with a fingertip length with a elbow or shorter second tier. Is the second tier going to be used as a blusher?

That worked–and wow, is that beautiful!  I think now that I’ve seen it, I would definitely say if you go lace edged, go very narrow.  Also look into english netting; I think it is as sheer as bridal illusion (the veil standard), but with a softer look and feel.
