I was veil shopping the other day and ever since first trying on my dress I’ve wanted a two-tier approximately fingertip length veil (tried one on the day I picked the dress and loved the basic style… not positive about the exact veil though). I found a veil I liked at one store, but the sample was elbow length. On the tag it said that it comes in other lengths, too. However, when I told the consultant that I would want it longer, she basically told me no. She said that I would end up sitting on it and it would get in my way the whole day, so I really shouldn’t get a finger tip length veil.
Has anyone had problems with their finger tip length veil & wish you would’ve gone shorter?
Here’s a picture of me in my dress with the first veil on:

I love that length of veil with your gown. My fingertip veil gave me no trouble all day–did not end up sitting on it. It did catch on a rosebush once when we did outside shots and it flew right off my head, but no damage, and that could have happened with any veil length. Go for what makes you feel beautiful. Just like your dress, you’ll know. If that store won’t “let you” buy that veil, go to another one!

Are you planning on wearing your veil at the reception? I am just wearing mine for the ceremony and pics. I will be switching to a hair flower for the reception. I wouldn’t want people tugging on it while hugging me or dealing with it trying to dance.

I wore a waltz length veil and it was perfect. It was never in my way!
