So I had my first fitting after the first set of alterations. I am so happy with the job they did. it fits like a glove and she made me a incredible 5 point bustle with pearl buttons.
Now here’s my question. I found this cute little fastinator veil. I was not planning on this and not quite sure how I feel About it. My daughter says it pulls the whole look together, but I also made a bow comb that I love.
Please bees, tell me what you think. Thanks, and I hope you are all having the time of your life❤

Hm…you look stunning! However my personal opinion is to do without the veil. I can’t put my finger on it – it just doesn’t quite work for me.

The bow looks great with your curls! It gets my vote. And beautiful dress!

thank you! I really love my bow! My daughter said she loves the veil, and well, you know, I had to ask fellow brides Because her opinion does matter to me.

I’m not loving that particular veil, but I think you could do a cute veil for ceremony, and then your beautiful bow clip for the reception! I would hate to see it go to waste:(

I am someone who almost always is in favor of a veil. I love them. However, in this case, I definitely prefer your bow.

@LivingInPink99: I’m with you. I tried on a few traditional shorter veils but I think they took away from the beautiful back of this dress. I think veils are really pretty. I agree that this veil just does nothing for my gown. Thanks for your opinion.
@Brielle: yay for my bow! Thanks…..

I think the bow is darling. Can you make a little birdcage veil on a comb? Then you could wear it with the bow clip during the ceremony, then take it off for the reception and keep the bow.

@Mammy: first and foremost, you look stunning! Secondly, I like it without the veil. I think the veil is a bit distracting.
