Maybe a bird cage veil.  I don’t think a long ivory or white veil would look right with it.

Beautiful dress, and I love that you’re wearing an unconventional color! I love eggplant! 🙂 I agree that I can’t really see it with a full-length veil–and that’s not a bad thing, I just don’t think it would be that cohesive of a look. It would look AWESOME with a birdcage veil: maybe even a purple one, with purple shoes (for an ombre look: so beautiful, if you don’t see it as too trendy!).

Good luck!

I’d probably skip the veil considering the color of your dress.

I love drop veils- I think if you were going to match it to the colour of your dress a longer would be lovely. The only thing is- if you were having a blusher – depending on the shade of aubergine- if it was dark it could give the illusion of ‘mourning’.

I think either way- auberine to match or a statement Ivory could work.

A birdcage would be lovely too- you could highlight the rouching at the back of the dress!

Will be interested to see what you decide to do!

@mrstaylortobe:  I like the idea of a birdcage veil, but at the other end of the spectrum you could go for a full cathedral length honey gold veil. I think it has the potential to contrast beautifully with the aubergine of the dress, and you could perhaps some embroidery to the bottom that would sit on the train of your dress.

This picture from http://justveils.co.uk/shop/gothic_veils_/v416_knots_2tier_gothic_wedding_veil_.htm

is just to show the colour

While this veil from http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wedding-Veils-White-Silver-IN-STOCK-Cathedral-Veil-/350410096409

kinda suggests possible emboidery ideas:

I can’t wait to see what you decide, you have a beautiful dress!

I think a full length veil would be stunning, as would a birdcage..I totally think you could pull off ivory or white with it if you wanted.
