I haven’t walked down the aisle yet, but I won’t be wearing mine over my face.

@Toastymama:  Is wearing a veil over your face a sign your a virgin?

@Megz11:  That is the reason I chose to wear it; however, I’ve subsequently read that this is not really the origin of why brides wore veils over their faces.

No, I will not be.. I tried on a layered veil and the lady put the “blusher” over my face.. It didn’t feel right and I hated it.. I immediately took it and flipped it back.

@Megz11:  That’s what i was told. Same thing with wearing white is a sign of purity etc. It’s what i was brought up with. So i won’t be wearing one, my dress isn’t traditional either this time around.

This was my big debate for quite awhile but I fell in love with a two-layer veil so it just seems reasonable to wear the top layer over my face walking down the aisle.  Plus, that’s how I think of a bride.

I might wear a birdcage, which would be partly over my eyes, but I’m not wering a traditional veil, at least unless I fall in love with one. I could see myself changing my mind since I have quite a while to go. I wouldn’t wear one over my face though. I’m clumsy enough as it is, I don’t need something else making walking in a giant dress more difficult.
