Need some opinions, bees! I seem to be able to decide on everything about my wedding but the veil! I *think* this is my veil and hair style:
Hair: side-swept low bun
Veil: single-tier, fingertip, lace applique bottom; not poofy
Now I don’t know how to actually position the veil. I think my stylist will pin it to the low bun level, but what should I do with it when I walk down the aisle and/or stand for pictures? Should I spread it out and have the sides drape over my shoulders? Should I just let it flow vertically down behind me, but then it won’t show up on the front in pictures?
What did you do with yours if you had similar hair and accessories? Feel free to share pictures even if not similar. Thanks!

I’m getting married in 2 months and am doing a very similar look to you! Low bun with a single tier veil, finger-tip length, lace on the bottom. I was planning on wearing my veil over my shoulders walking down the aisle and for most pictures that I have my veil on. I feel like when I pull the veil over my shoulders, you really get the full “bridal” effect. The only reason I wouldn’t is if you had a high neck/busy top of your dress and you didn’t want the veil to take away from it.

vickie2018 : I had a low sideswept bun with a finger tip veil (no lace). I’m onky 4’11” so it looked longer than fingertip. I just left it behind me. I didn’t care for it to show all the time. Many photos did feature it nicely. Here are some to see (I don’t get many opportunities to post my photos now that I’m a year out)
Some notes: 1) I have a tiny head 2) the small comb kept it more narrow looking 3) My hair do had a lot of fake pieces in it which the comb did not want to cling to.

vickie2018 : Well my ceremony ended up being kinda windy, so my veil went where it wanted to (which was all over lol).
But originally, i liked it draped over my shoulder/arms a little, that was probably more of a “cover my fat arms” move hahha

but i think with a low bun, it might work better going under like PP is pictured above.

Thank you everyone! I’m *still* not sure what I’d do, but leaning towards what
somathemagical did of just leaving it hanging down. It does sound more bridal draped over the shoulders as
miera31695 said, but I took a few selfies and it almost looked a bit too deliberate from the back. I’ll see what my opinionated mother dictates on the day! I suspect it will be so windy on the boat — much windier than
L606‘s day possibly!
