I found a veil on etsy that I really liked in March. I PMed the shop owner and we worked out the details of the veil. I wanted to wait until my dress fitting to decide which length to order. So today I’m finally getting around to ordering the fingertip veil and I see that her prices have gone up, way up. The alencon lace veil that I was going to order was $210, which was a stretch to begin with. Now it’s $340. I am so bummed out I could cry. I’m so upset I waited this long.

Message her and talk to her about the situation. Maybe you guys could work something out. Good luck!

I would message her too. She may prefer to honor the price of the veil when you started talking rather than get nothing at all. Good luck!

I messaged her, no such luck. Back to square one. Grrr, frustrating!

Ouch, I ran into something similar with our cake toppers on Etsy. I waited until wedding season to order and they went from "Pushing budget, but worth it" to out of budget. It ended up working out though, as I made our cake toppers and am in love with them!
It stinks that the seller won’t work with you, but there are so many wonderful places to buy a veil that I think you can recover.
I don’t know if you were looking for a mantilla, but here’s one for $155: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=26169668&ref=sr_gallery_2&&ga_search_query=alencon+lace+fingertip+veil&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&order=date_desc&includes%5B%5D=tags&includes%5B%5D=title
Good luck in your search! Veils don’t have to cost as much as your dress.

Sorry you couldn’t work out a deal with the seller. Are there other similar veils available?
