That sounds relatively fair, but I wasn’t keen on spending much for a piece of tulle so I ordered mine from ebay for $20. It had some sequins around the edge and was still pretty.

I think the amount that some veils go for is absolutely absurd! I think $75 is good, especially, like PP said, it is just a piece of tulle (with some extra in some cases, obviously). I think I paid just over $100 for mine, chapel length, no embellishments.

@redhead_bride82413:  $75 sounds like an incredible price for a veil.  If you love it and it goes with your dress, buy it!  What does it look like? What length is it? Is it single layered or multi-tiered?  What is it made of?  Just curious because $75 sounds like a steal.

My veil cost over $1,000.  It is a cathedral length mantilla with alencon lace around the entire trim of the veil and swarvoski crystals scattered around the lace trim.  The lace matches my gown exactly, and is being custom made for me by Kleinfeld.

I strongly disagree with folks who say a veil is just a piece of tulle (although prior to purchasing my veil I probably would have agreed).  In some cases it is, but in other cases depending on the quality of the veil, it can be an heirloom piece.  I tried on many veils or varying lengths and styles and the quality of the tulle/embellishments definitely varied.
