Do you have a picture of your dress? What length of veil are you interested in?

First of all, I LOVE your dress.

Second of all, our dresses are very similar. I do have some lace in my veil, and also originally wanted a lace dress. It so happens that my mother’s veil has lace, so lace I shall wear! I think fingertip is great for this because it is less distracting. I would make sure the lace in the veil isn’t too thick. Fingertip will end just as your tulle begins. It will be beautiful!

Third, you make the rules! 🙂

I would not do fingertip because it will end right at the flare of your dress. It would be alright if it was a more gradual transition but its quite dramatic so I think it wouldn’t look the best With the lace laying right along the transition. I vote for the cathedral! I think it would look awesome!

Can you go and try on different lengths with your dress? I was sure I wanted a single layer, raw edge cathedral and when I tried it on with my dress I felt it wasn’t enough, so I ended up with a super dramatic three tiered veil.

mrsl2b86:  Yes! My dress has tulle and I was kind of in the same position as you. I always envisioned that I’d wear a lace so here’s a picture of my dress and my veil.

mrsl2b86:  Yes! Haha. You can’t really see in the picture but my dress has polka dots too. I am so obsessed with polka dots so no one will be surprised to see me walking down the aisle with polka dots on. Oh and yes I got it on Etsy. I love it! The only thing I don’t love is that I paid so much for it and I won’t even be wearing it that long.

Someone made a good correction.. depending on your height if you do go shorter, elbow rather than fingertip might be better. Mine flares out well below the waist like yours,  but i have a long torso so it still ends long before the flare. Sorry about that!

mrsl2b86:  Oh! That’s not me! I should have said that.  I just got the picture off Pinterest to show you a lace cathedral veil with the same skirt style as your dress!
