That is not normal.  Where at in Iowa are you?  I could help you make one for super reasonable, if you are close enough.

No, that isn’t normal.  My veil was SUPER beaded, and I had no problems like that.

I am very interested in hearing what the other Bees have to say, since I’m considering purchasing my veil off of eBay.  One of my other friends bought hers off of eBay, but it didn’t have any beading.  Her veil looked like any other veil I have seen in a bridal store.  Couldn’t tell it was only $20!

Can you post a picture of you wearing the veil so we can see if the bunching/catching of the beading is noticable?

@Faellie: that sucks.  PM me and I will dig up a few tutorals and send you my google+ account link if you want to make one.  I just did a plain drop veil for $2, but the beads are easy to add and you can get them at any Hobby Lobby or Micheals.  The beads would be time consuming but def something you could do while watching tv.  Sorry that one wasn’t right 🙁

Could you perhaps use the same veil and cut the beads off?  Then if you felt like it you could add some nicer beads that won’t get caught (round ones, those seem long and square which have sharper edges).  It might be slightly shorter, about half an inch?

I used http://www.wedding-veil.com and was pleased with what I got. It’s a little more than ebay or other discount sellers, but was still less than the bridal shops and I got to customize my veil.

I bought a cheap veil of the internet and had exactly the same problem, it would all stick together and bits would stick up and just looked crap.

I gave up and was lucky to find the designer veil i wanted was being sold second hand for less than half the original price and as its a veil it had only been worn once. It is sooo much nicer, no comparison and I just wish I had not wasted tume and money with the cheap veil.
