I was a bridesmaid in a wedding last summer where the bride had this problem. Her dress had some beading and her veil kept getting caught on one semi-loose bead. My main job during her bridal portraits (and wedding day) was to untangle the bead from her veil. It wasn’t a huge issue for her on the wedding day (especially since she didn’t wear her veil at her reception), but it definitely annoying for a full day of bridal portraits.

My veil did stick to the back of my dress quite a lot to the point that by the time we went into our reception if you looked closely the bead of bands was coming off. It didn’t bother me at all during the reception and I hardly noticed it until the receiving line. I planned to wear my veil all night but ended up taking it off half way through our reception. But if I had to do it again there is no way I would have got married without a veil (it made me feel so much more like a bride). And until you start dancing and moving aroun a ton you won’t notice it.

My veil stuck to the back of my dress and kept getting caught!! But not by the veil – by the DRESS!  I had beading on the back and the tulle would catch to the beading.

My best friend convinced me to keep my veil on for our first dance – but the thing had been caught and pulled so much it was actually crooked on the top of my head!! (the comb) so that’s what I see and I WISH I had taken it off by then…. or else I wish someone would have seen it was crooked and fixed it!

I should probably add that this was my veil was it was bustled so you may not had as much of a problem as I did.
