I prefer the first one – the one in the wind is a bit overwhelming!

What’s the style of the second one called? It’s gorgeous!

While I agree that the horeshair veil is beautiful, a veil that full would overwhelm your dress.

Also, the lace edge is more vintage and the horsehair is more modern. What look are you going for?

SInce you plan to wear the veil the entire time, remember that you will have to get the longer veil out of your way when sitting and going to the bathroom.

I am not blown away by the lace edged one, so I would keep looking.

Thanks so much! I think it’s pretty much exactly what I want.

That said, I think it works for me because I am planning to not have a train, so I want a bit more oomph in the veil. Currently I also only plan to wear the veil for pictures (not even in the ceremony), so wildly blowing about in the wind during the ceremony/reception is not an issue – definitely things to consider if you’re wearing it the whole day.

kmd1231:  A lace fingertip veil would look really nice with your dress

    I’d prefer fingertip length.

I think what makes the etsy veil look so beautiful is the “body”, it has a lot of volume and floats on the breeze. I think you could get that “body” with a two-tier fingertip veil. The top tier gets a bit of “lift” from the bottom layer floating under it. It’s a nice poufy effect I think.

kmd1231:  i have a somewhat similar dress and tried on a waltz length veil pretty similar to that pic…maybe not as full i think… and as much as i loved the veil it didn’t go well with my dress and i dont think it’d go well with your either. i can’t see the horsehair detailing with the rouching detailing on the front.

my vote is for a raw edge in any length you’re comfy with or a lace edge

I think any of the options would look beautiful. My advice to you is that if you love the veil that you found on esty then get it. You will love it on your wedding day and it will make you even more excited!

kmd1231:  ummmm no lol I mean I have two veils sitting in a box under my nightstand right now but I haven’t made a decision on either. One’s a cathedral length lace edge that I feel bleh about. the other is a chapel length raw edge drop veil that I think i’ll be getting altered to a shorter length

Here’s  pic of it with the longer chapel length gathered up and out of the pic. Excuse my unaltered dress and pudgey tummy and know that spanx will be my friend on the big day LOL
